Jax was going to be the death of me.

I always thought my type of guy would be someone like me. Someone not so smiley, less extroverted and friendly. But, unfortunately, I was pretty sure my type now was Jax.

Whatever made Jax, Jax seemed to be everything I liked.

The way he made me always feel more confident, and more like myself. The way I wanted to spend all my time with him. How good he looked today in his hoodie with his hat on, somehow making his blue eyes stand out even more. I hated it. I hated feeling this way at all, but even more with someone so amazing. I hated that I wanted every single thing he was suggesting.

He pushed up the sleeves of his hoodie, revealing the strong, perfectly sculpted forearms that I spent way too much time looking at. My body flushed as my eyes moved up to the small tattoo at the base of his throat again, the hoodie hanging low enough to show it off.

How could one person look so effortlessly hot? I looked like I just rolled out of bed.

As soon as Kye put the car in park, Jax was in motion. He lifted Riot out before grabbing our bags, holding them in one hand as the other strong hand around mine, pulling me with him with a smile.

“Come on,” he said, nodding for me to follow as everyone headed inside.

I stopped to take it all in. The cabin was cute, more modern than the rustic cabin I had pictured, but it was still cozy. The Fall weather had taken over the mountains, the air was colder here, and the leaves were all shades of orange, yellow, and red. It was beautiful.

Ash walked in behind us. “There are five rooms, so everyone should have their own bed, but not their own room,” she said, smirking at Jax and I. “You two can discuss amongst yourselves, but Carly, you’re either sharing a room with Jax or Scout.”

Ash walked away and Jax held out my bag.

“You can choose where you want to stay, but I can promise to pick up exactly where we left off, and I’m honestly the best at cuddling. Plus, I will still honor my bodyguard duties in the event of serial killers.”

“Wow, you really seem to have a lot to offer,” I said, grabbing my bag and walking around him into the room. “I’m really curious if you can deliver on all of that.”

The door slammed shut behind us and before I knew it, I was being tackled to the bed.

I caught a glimpse of Jax’s smiling face before he was kissing me. His hands moved up from my hips to my breasts, taking my shirt with it.

The self-conscious thoughts started to take over, but then he was biting my lip and groaning as his hand slipped under my bra.

As soon as his fingers moved over my nipple, I gasped, arching up for more.

“All I want to do is kiss every fucking inch of you right now.
